Project Description

Sergio Tacchini

50 years of success and timeless products have written the history of the brand. Founded by a tennis player who created with Italian style & innovation a brand that recalls those times, the products of the Sergio Tacchini brand tell the essence of this success story.

1966 - The beginnings: Sergio Tacchini retires from competitive sports and creates Sandys, a production and distribution company of sportswear and sports shoes.

Sponsorship of the big names in the tennis world begins. Connors and Gerulaitis were the first to help take this Italian brand to the world's Grand Slams and conquer the international market.

1978 - A brilliant inspiration: an 8-year contract with John McEnroe, the rising star of the tennis world who would become the undisputed icon of the brand.

In the 1980s, Sergio Tacchini also signed an agreement to collaborate with Pat Cash, an outstanding figure in international tennis, for whom he created a Pro model with the same name that the champion wore when he won Wimbledon in 1987.
